It's precisely. The Frenzied Feltalon experience is like a complete waste of time when its just a remake of two mounts you already own. Although the WOW TBC Gold difference in color isn't huge, it doesn't make up much for the huge difference in difficulty. There are a myriad of colors for mounts that can be combined, so it doesn't matter which you've got. The value of the wild mount decreases because they are so closely related. This is because the value that a freebie mount has cannot increase, even though it may look unusual.

Recolours are available by other means. Then there are all the drake mounts from WotLK and Cata which are just recolours of rare spawn drops/reputation/achievement rewards.

Then there are the other mounts for raids that I didn't include, like Glacial Tidestorm from mythic Jaina that is a reskin of the shaman mount Ny'alotha Allseer, from mythical N'Zoth which is simply an reskin of a jellyfish mount.

It's up to you what you mean when you say "reskin". It's all about what you want to convey by "reskin".

The only "original at the time" mythic mount I can think of is Archimonde's Felsteel Annihilator. The Sylvanas mythic mount is also a new type.

A recolour is often a swap of texture. I'm not entirely sure what the definition of the word means. It's much simpler than any other job to change the color of a picture, since they only have to change the colors by using a slider, and then call it done.

that's why it's and a bit gruesome to see such armours that are just recolours since you could just put an intern on that and they'd generally be fine. Recolors ought to at all times be a slider to which players have access to..

I was not sure the distinction between a recolour and also a reskin. The reskins I was always aware of animations, however having a completely distinct look. Recolour is, however, actually a recolour.

Reskining uses the same skeleton, but adds an additional skin on top. These can be almost identical to recolors (if the buy WOW Burning Crusade Classic Gold skin modifications are minor enough). They can also add extra bits and bits.
