Salma Chowdhury was born on September 14 in a famous family in Dhaka district. My father's name is Abdul Hamid Chowdhury and mother's name is Najma Chowdhury. We are four sisters. As a child, I attended the Nutunkuri program of Bangladesh Television. I wrote articles in Kishore Bangla magazine, and I exhibited my paintings at Dhaka Art College, and I sold my painting cards at Jiraj Art Gallery. I completed my primary education at the former English Preparatory School, now known as Udayan Girls' High School. There I completed my studies up to class six and attended Agrani Girls High School. When my father became ambassador in Qatar I passed SSC exam in Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar and HSC from Eden Girls, College. I studied at Shishukola Bhavan and College of Dhaka Art College. I am involved in many cultural institutions. I am a life member of Dhaka Women's Christian Association (YWCA), Dhaka Guitar Society, Ummes Academy, I have sung many times in Ummes Academy there. I completed a five-year course in guitar at (Y.W.C.A), and there I completed short courses in type, batik, beautician and computer. I completed my computer basic course in Tokyo, Rotary and many other institutes. I am good at painting, cooking, sewing, etc. While I was in Qatar, I received the First Prize in International Children's Painting and the Gold and Silver Medals of Japan's Greatest Foreign Minister. A few years ago I won Gold Medal in Rabindra Sangeet in the institution of Federal Cultural Society and received Philip Radio, Zainul Abedin Award, Shankar, Online China Certificate etc. I have traveled to places like India, (Delhi Ajmer) ), Qatar etc. Presently I am involved in laptop internet online work.
