I consider myself to be extremely fortunate, because my ‘job’, such as it is, simply entails doing what I love. I call myself a designer as it’s a nice umbrella term for the Graphic Design, web design / print design / illustration / Photoshop branding work that I do, although I spend a great deal of time talking about design at numerous conferences around the globe and writing about design for online and offline publications.
More recently, I’m the co-founder and Sr. Designer of a brand new lifestyle Design Company and until the end of 2015, I balanced that with my role as the Creative Director of Adobe Type kit. Now I do it pretty much full-time, along with some select client work. Prior to that I founded 10 Faces, a bi-annual printed magazine dedicated to typographic design. Occasionally I dabble with the idea of being a Designer, but by and large my focus is on design and all of its connected parts.
Lots of nice people have been kind enough to interview me and showcase my work over the years, including Creative Review, Computer Arts, Designing, Java, Design Week, and numerous blogs, podcasts, and online Designer.
