I recall someone even RuneScape gold asking on these forums,"If there's only 1 Xmas cracker abandoned in most of Runescape, what do you think it'll be worth?" I think that the response is, it will be worth whatever worth to the person that owns it - because there'll be no additional ones.
Post some of your thoughts on items that are discontinued. P.S.. While coaching at lessers, a Runescaper was telling me about the prices of runes 6 decades back (she has not played for some time ). I said"That is a long time ago". She then responded that she had been around RS for at least 6 years, she was around for Runescape Classic: ). I inquired,"Can you get any holiday things (e.g. Xmas cracker)?" She stated she'd 500 party hats and 30 santa hats in her original Runescape account. . She answered that she still has those items in her original account, but she forgot the password to that account.
Before the dungeoneering update and the benefits that came along with it, imo the walnut shortbow has been the most common bow utilized. People cited reasons such as a rapid attack rate and reasonable damage as reasons as to why they chose it over maple longs. Users of walnut longbows were really few and far between, I myself just chanced upon a walnut longbow user when I was at Clan Wars FFA. (As a matter of fact, he utilized the more range of the longbow to take me while my shortbow could not hit him).
Users of other varients of bows such as the crossbow were even fewer, with all the composite bows being a luxury item that couple 60+'s managed to afford. Crossbows were used occasionally in clan wars by people wielding it along with a defense, but I seldom saw composite bows being spilled. So, this was how it stood prior to the upgrade (in my view ). Most damage per strike: Maple long, accurate style, assuming similar arrows were used. Most cost efficient: Either maple long or walnut short. Most damage over time: Maple brief.
Best complete bow in my view: Willow comp (Mainly because I purchased one and liked the blend of additional attack at the cost of speed, but not as slow as a longbow, with a nice bonus array ) However, with the recent dungeoneering upgrade, it feels like Just About the Gambling EXperience (aka Jagex) decided that the maple longbow was under-utilized. Together with the longbow sight now employed, it provides a hefty bonus of +110 array attack bonus on top of the regular bonuses a maple longbow has. I'd love to find out what the reactions of the Sal's community are approximately like. Would this update make longbows much more popular due to their higher harm, and maybe even the very popular bow being wielded? Will it create comp. Bow users even less because of more folks switching to rs3 gold sighted longbows?
