2K is still preparing the next version of NBA 2K21, but they did not ignore the current generation. The latest update touches on the NBA 2K21 MT mode in the game, but one of the most noticeable improvements is the face scan method.

This patch updates more than 60 player similarities. The following video by Shuajota shows all the updated renderings.

The updates from Kevin Durant and Steph Curry provided two stars with the most accurate current rendering I have ever seen. The size of Durant's head and neck has been adjusted, which makes a big difference in accuracy.

Curry's rendering has also improved, but the 2K effect still seems to make his hair a little too light. Curry obviously has brown hair, but it is more of a sandy appearance, which cannot fully reflect his appearance.

We caught a glimpse of the next-generation version rendered by Boban Marjanovic, which looks similar to the Dallas Mavericks' bigs.

Not all updates come from well-known stars and easily recognizable players like Durant, Curry and Marianovich. Some little-known players who previously had universal renderers have also updated their avatars. Luguentz Dort from the Oklahoma City Thunder is an example.

As 2K community member Pete Toal pointed out in this tweet, Dort's updated rendering has been included in the game but has not yet been assigned to him.

Buy MT may need to be updated again. In any case, the performance in NBA 2K21 is still improving.
