I'm a poet by nature, it's just who I am  

I paint pictures with words, like a master with a brush in hand  

But sometimes my mind is a maze, it's hard to find the way  

So I scribble and scratch, until the perfect verse is on display  

It's not always easy, to craft the perfect rhyme  

But when the words flow freely, it's like music to my mind  

The pen becomes an extension, of my heart and my soul  

And the words I write down, they help to make me whole  

I reach deep into my emotions, and pull out what I feel  

Then I weave and I twist, until the verses are surreal  

Each line is a snapshot, of my heart and my mind  

And each word is a puzzle piece, that I'm eager to find  

So I'm a poet by nature, with words as my art  

I craft masterpieces with language, that come straight from the heart  

And though sometimes it's painful, to put pen to the page  

In the end, it's worth it, for the beauty of the rhyming phrase
