We are one of the manufacturers of enameled wire, and rectangular enameled wire is one of our main products.
With the rise in copper prices, some cable manufacturing companies have proposed cheap and attractive methods of manufacturing network cables. One method they decided to adopt was to replace copper with copper clad aluminum (CCA). Then, they sell the cables as low-cost alternatives to other performance categories, such as; CAT6, CAT6A and CAT5e. Others took further measures and plated the wires with copper to make them look more real.

Unfortunately, installers and contractors did not realize that CCA Wires would have a terrible impact on their business until they used them to install cable systems and received numerous customer complaints about poor network performance. Here are some useful ways to distinguish the difference between fake CCA and real ICC network cables.
One way to distinguish is to look on the cable sheath or outer packing box
In the comparison below, there is no UL mark on the jacket of the CCA cable, which does not comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC). In addition, it has no ETL mark, which can verify whether its performance meets the TIA industry standard. ICC CAT6 cables have UL and ETL marks.
In addition, the ICC carton has the UL mark and a certified UL hologram stamp to prove its authenticity. UL certified cables have passed strict flame spread tests to reduce the spread of fire, so they have a safety level. If a cable made with CCA shows the UL mark, it may be unauthorized and the cable is counterfeit.
