We are a professional mold manufacturer, Flower Pot Mould is one of our products. One of the most common reasons for using plastic in tools may be to reduce the manufacturing cost of plastic flowerpot molds. The following suggestions can usually help minimize costs:
Simplify flowerpot mold design. The mold design consisting of text descriptions and sketches as well as part printing eliminates the need for complex, full-size drawings and may be the first step in reducing costs. For example, drilling tools made of glass-reinforced plastic laminates and used to drill holes in formed sheet metal parts are usually made of sample parts that are drilled in the correct position. The direction of use of such tools may include freehand sketches or markings on the part itself, with written instructions to indicate the thickness of the laminate and the size and type of drill sleeve required.
Use existing models or parts. Since plastic is essentially a copy material, there must always be a shape, except in special circumstances (such as lofting template structures). Use an existing shape (such as a model or prototype part) whenever possible, and then copy that shape in plastic.
Create new models for men. When master models have to be made, use the easiest way to replicate (usually convex) and build them to the metal surface that needs to minimize the thickness of the part.
Use plane beating. Plane runout is the easiest to construct and should be used whenever possible.
Eliminate undercuts and loose parts. Remember that when copying the plastic shape, the plastic flow tank shape must be removed from the model. Eliminate all undercuts and loose fragments as much as possible to simplify shape reproduction.
Use lattice type laminate. Whenever possible, a lattice-type laminated structure should be used instead of a solid structure. The lattice structure requires less materials and less labor, and is lighter.
Choose the support structure carefully. Each type of support structure is good for a specific type of tool. Wood is fast and has the lowest cost, but its dimensional stability is relatively poor, and its weak links are clear. Cast iron is second only to wood in cost and is easily available in terms of delivery time, but may require time-consuming and expensive machining. Cast aluminum is more expensive than iron, but it is generally available faster and can be processed faster. Cast steel is the most expensive and takes longer to obtain, but it has the highest strength. Weldments are almost as expensive and strong as cast steel, and can be obtained faster. The manufactured plastic support structure may be expensive in terms of materials and labor, but light in weight.
Filling is used in the material of the plastic flow pot tool. In cases where a relatively large amount of plastic is required and strength is not critical, fillers can increase the production of relatively expensive plastic materials.
Large flat tool area of the pot. By pouring the surface from the panel to the gasket, rib or the entire continuous surface, slow and expensive processing of large areas can be eliminated.
