Runescape's Evolution of Combat update is RS gold burning away at players. One of the battle cry heard is "Adaptor Die!" The cry usually comes from EoC supporters on the assumption that adaptation to change is a good thing.

The issue is that we are toolmakers and thinkers. We are made to adjust the environment to meet our needs. We must communicate with other people in the event that our environment affects us. Also, adapting means passively accepting what another person is saying. It's similar to being sheep. You get slaughtered.

Two signs indicate intelligence that show it: concentration and flexibility. Jagex isn't both. Jagex is inflexible regarding the method it uses to pushing updates through. And its main focus is not on the people, but rather dollars. Jagex's methods of communication are at the cause of the issue. The Runescape forums are at the heart of the issue. Jagex and players are able to meet up on forums to talk about Runescape and move it forward once more.

Jagex might believe that Runescape can be saved by adapting to other MMOs. Another variation on adapt or perish. Jmods have a narrow choice of choices when it comes to who and what they can communicate with. It's not an issue of the duration of their time. They are able to talk to a limited amount of people per day. Most Jmods will have a small number of people they talk to, if they have any. These relationships will have been established over time and basically are "Yes!" groups that will accept whatever the Jmod suggests. Fmods (some disguised Jmods), which are responsible for putting an end to any dissent on forums.

Jagex must adapt to this new reality. Fmods should be removed. Fmods must become a salaried job for Jagex. Fmods must not refer to users with the title of "you bunch" or similar. Fmods are causing havoc in certain areas of the forums.

Second, make sure to keep forums updated with more voice and options. The forums should allow players to be independent of each other and provide different tools. This can help create networks. Allow forums on RS forums to have the flexibility and freedom of Facebook. It is easy to group. Jagex's secret forums are not the problem. They have turned the forums into rigid areas.

Establish a player council and allow players to vote for 12 members who will have the power to accept updates. It will be a small one with an estimated budget of 900k annually. You can use Facebook or Twitter to post messages to the forums.

This will prevent years like 2012 happening again, where Jagex refused to seriously listen to players. For instance, 90% of players are fans of SoF and 80% of players love EoC and EoC, which are simple stupid things to cheap OSRS gold Jagex to say. A sarcastic, emotional rant isn't an ideal idea.
