TGS and Chicago Gaming United team up for mt 2k22 an epic high school NBA2K tournament. VANCOUVER BC September. 30, 2020 /CNW TGS Esports Inc. has collaborated with Chicago Gaming United to produce an unforgettable NBA2K tournament to Chicagoland high school students, with the top two winners in each division receiving educational scholarships.

"School is not just about education. It's also about having friends playing sports, having fun, and most importantly, forming an identity. The epidemic has brought to light how important these connections are for young people," stated Spiro Khouri, CEO of TGS. "Esports can fill the void when the world was waiting. This tournament is a chance for kids to come from all across the city into one event."

The tournament, which will have two divisions, an Xbox and PlayStation division, will be held on Twitch during the weekend of November 7-8 and November. 14-15. The final round, featuring the Elite 8 in each division, will be held the weekend of the 21-22nd of November. The tournament will be streamed live on TGS' Twitch channel. TGS will host the tournament, bringing professionals-level production and event management to the event.

Alongside the scholarship and other benefits, a portion of proceeds from the event will benefit three charities, including Cxmmunity which focuses on increasing participation by minorities in Esports; the Beyond Sports foundation, dedicated to transforming athletic abilities into opportunities for real life and That Harper Kid, the foundation founded by former Chicago Sky guard Linnae Harper to help local youth.

Numerous high school basketball players from Chicago have also backed the cause. These include Jahil Okafor, Kendrick Nunn as well as Quentin Richardson. Deon Thomas and Arthur Agee, William Gates, Deon Thomas, Deon Tom, Deon Thomas, Deon Thomsen, Tim Hardaway and Deon Thomas.
