There also may not be a mode that obviously needs an advancement in Madden NFL 22 compared to Face of the Franchise. It doesn't have to be built from the bottom up, it just must have more attention paid to it. EA had a good idea when it provided up the capability to have a player from high school and college to the pros. When the style culminated in Madden NFL 20, it looked like a very great, if unfinished step. Then this past year's version appeared to be a big step back. A souped-up, improved version of that mode will go a long way towards creating Madden NFL 22's launch a large win over it's predecessor.

While Face of the Franchise could use some help, the franchise mode is always the one in the center of controversy when the game's community is angry. Like the former game mode, it doesn't have to be rebuilt from the ground up. What it does need is some quality of life upgrades in order to earn the initiation of the new match successful. It would help if EA compensated the same kind of focus on realism that MLB The Show does with its franchise style. The Display doesn't do anything particularly flashy, but the game style functions like they really are running a major league leading office.

The Madden NFL series was similar in feel with its franchise mode. Actually, it was so good that it actually birthed a whole other sport that allowed individuals to feel as if they were the head coach and general manager. Oddly, that appears to be about the time once the manner in Madden games dropped off a bit.
