Can Small Submersible Pump be competent?

　　This is an interesting question with two different answers. The physical size of the pump is actually not important. Small sewage pumps like backup batteries are small but can move a ton of water. If you are talking about HP (horsepower), it depends on the situation. Indeed, there are not many sewage pumps with less than 1/3 hp. Yes, you can find pumps with lower power, but they are slightly less. So, for the purposes of this article, 1/3 hp is as small as the one I used.

　　The pump is used to pump water. If you turn off the switch and just let the pumps run, some of them will continue to pump for several years. Therefore, if you are looking at a Small Submersible Pump, ask yourself, how far do I pump the water? Did the discharge from the sump tilt up 7 feet, turned 90 degrees and left the house with a 1-foot pipe? If this is the case, then a 1/3 horsepower sewage pump will do its job well 95% of the time.

　　If you are one of those people who are filled with a lot of water, rain, or bones during the day and night, then you may have to do some math to figure out how much water is coming in and determine the size of the pump accordingly. The reason I point this out is that I saw many people say "I bought a new cesspool and bought their biggest cesspool", usually 3/4 hp, I took a peek and found that they have 8 feet tall, 2 feet out of the house, a 1/4 horsepower would be fine. Increasing the size of the pump is not the correct method.

　　Therefore, not all Automatic Grease Separators are the same. It is possible that if they are more expensive, they will actually better build useful features that can save homeowners a lot of trouble in the future.
