Mother.Terresa was born in 1910 at skopje, a small village in Yugoslavia. Her earlier name was Agenes. At the age of eighteen she decided to become a nun. With that end in view, she came to India in 1928 and took Indian citizenship. She started her life as a teacher in a convent school in calcutta, but soon the mother in her cried for the suffering of the poor and the down-trodden. Her activities has now been spread all over the world. In 1979 she was awarded the Nobel Prize for peace. This great lady died on 5th sept, 1997. The whole world is shocked at her death.
