She also added: "Ensuring development in Singapore is easy due to the political and economic environment that prevails in the country. On the contrary, we have to face arson attacks, killing and torture."
She said a huge amount of investment was coming in Bangladesh. "Bangladesh is the most attractive destination for investment in the South East and South Asia," she said.
"Not only among the South Asian countries, we are also ahead among the South Eastern countries," she said.
Earlier, Raushan had said, "Many take loan but don't invest the money. The money is being siphoned off abroad … there is no money at banks, there has been a debacle in share market, …how the country will cross Malaysia and Singapore," she asked.
Hasina said there was enough money at banks.
"She [Raushan] said that there is no money in banks but our reserve is 32 billion US dollar. There is no problem. If there was no money at banks, how are we carrying out development work?
"I will urge her [Raushan] to read the president's address in parliament. It will help her to forget frustrations".
Speaking on a different issue, Hasina urged Bangladeshis who want to go abroad to work to follow the procedures properly.
"Expatriate Bangladeshis who go abroad through the wrong path, through middlemen, they face problem. We have to bring them back spending our money.
"I don't understand why they go abroad through middleman. There is Probashi Kallyan Bank, they can take loan from there, they do not need to go abroad by selling their home and land."
