Allu Arjun as Lakshman Prasad alias Lucky, a city boy who wants to settle in America, but unfortunately engages in a war with a local rowdy. The rowdy becomes a minister and gets Lucky's brother suspended on false charges. Lucky then becomes a one-day police officer to eliminate minister Shiva Reddy in place of his suspended brother.

Shaam as Assistant Commissioner Ram, Lucky's elder brother who is always in loggerheads with him. He is unknowingly saved from an assassination by Lucky and is suspended immediately. Shiva Reddy becomes a minister on false sexual harassment charges. He is arrested by Lucky in his tenure as one day special officer. He is later put on service by the Home Minister the same evening after Lucky exposes the false sexual harassment charges, and only he can stop Lucky. He arrests Lucky, but realizes he did this for him, and bargains with the CM for his release. Lucky is released without any charges, and no news about him to the public due to Ram.
Saloni as Shweta, Ram's love interest who breaks up with him because of Lucky's mischief.
