There's a whole lot of factors involved from my post so I am not certain what you are discussing in this case. Although, I really do believe they function multiplicative but because RuneScape is more basic when it comes to numbers, it wouldn't surprise me if they simply made them additive regardless of what you're thinking about.

The advantage with multiplicative bonuses is that they're easy to calculate correctly with higher amounts, but RuneScape's combat version wasn't that advanced before they upgraded the hit splashes along with the general life span system, and I'm not exactly sure about how much they revamped the core principles.
